Located in the beautiful Kullu Valley, Kullu is
set amongst the backdrop of the Himalayas.
Famous for its temples it attracts thousands of
tourists and is also known for handicrafts.
Spreading out its charm on either side of the
river Beas, it is spread about 80 km. It is an
ideal place for those who wish to escape the
heat and the dust of the plains.
Beautiful snow peaks, deep gorges, lush green
valleys, the beas river and the enchanting
mountain lakes – no wonder Manali is known as a
traveller’s paradise. Situated at a height of
6000ft above the sea level, the valley of Manali
has become one of the favourite tourists resorts
of Himachal Pradesh.
HOW TO REACH
BY AIR -
For Kullu Bhuntar airport is 10 km from Kullu.
There are daily flights from Delhi, Chandigarh
and Shimla. From Delhi it is a hour and a half
long flight.
BY RAIL-
Joginder nagar station the nearest railhead is
120 km from Kullu.
BY ROAD -
Kullu and Manali are well connected to Shimla,
Delhi, Chandigarh. Manali is about 50 km from
Kullu.
HOW TO MOVE AROUND IN MANALI
Taxi’s are available for short trips. Walking
remains the best way to explore the quaint
streets.
BEST TIME TO VISIT
The best time to visit is in spring from mid-Feb
to March-April when the air is cool and fresh.
October onwards nights and mornings are cold.
Snowfall also occurs between December to March.
